NORTHERN EXPOSURE 2009 October 9th & 10th October
History
The Northern Exposure Pest Managers Conference was first held in North Queensland in 2004, the idea was to give North Queensland Regional Pest Managers access to a low-cost conference without having the expense of travelling to southern capitals or be a member of any organisation to be able to attend.
Every year the conference has grown and Pest Managers from all over the country have ascended on Townsville to take part. The organising committee is made up of 6 very hard working volunteers who meet througout the year to bring the conference together. (Over 3000 man-hours are required to organise a conference of this size)
Held over two days the conference has attracted speakers from accross Australia and has been a great tool for disseminating information to the region. An important element is the camaraderie which is formed between individuals and companies who are normally competitors in the industry. CPD points are always on offer for those requiring them but the learning from speakers who give up their time to teach us has been the most valuable part of the conference.
Northern Exposure 2009 is on again on the 9-10th October 2009 at Jupiters Casino Townsville.
