Bayer training at the Mercure Inn on the 28th & 29th April 2010 had completed the following modules;
- Bed Bugs – module 11
- Fleas – module 7
- Advanced Termite ID – module 3
- Ants – Behaviour, Habitat & Control – module 6
- Coleoptera of Australian Timbers – Borers – module 4
A great attendance to the morning and afternoons sessions came to Doug Mc Carron, who presented the above mentioned modules. Those who didn’t come missed out on many problem solving issues. Everybody’s questions were answered, and various treating options shown and explained.
Even a wooden sculpture was brought in by an attendee, had shown evidence of timber damage. Doug had shown and explained his findings under his microscope, which was blown up on the screen. Evidence had shown to be of a foreign drywood termite (not from Australia).
Pest Management Institute would like to thank Doug Mc Carron and The Bayer Training Centre for their time and effort in bringing these training modules to Townsville for the pesties of Northern Queensland.
